Alocasia, often known as Elephant Ear or African Mask Plant, is a striking tropical houseplant admired for its large, arrowhead-shaped leaves and dramatic veining.

It thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers a warm, humid environment similar to its natural tropical habitat. Water your Alocasia when the top inch of soil feels dry, using a well-draining potting mix and ensuring excess water can drain freely to help prevent root rot.

It prefers temperatures between 18C and 27C. Protect it from drafts and sudden environmental changes. A humidifier, pebble tray, or grouping plants together can help maintain humidity around the plant. With the right conditions, Alocasia will reward you with lush tropical foliage and a beautiful indoor display.
