Calathea Mix In 6cm/7cm Pot

Calatheas are popular houseplants grown for their striking foliage. Their leaves look almost painted, with intricate patterns in shades of green and often deep burgundy undersides. This has earned them nicknames such as peacock plant, zebra plant and rattlesnake plant.

Native to the tropical rainforest floor, calatheas thrive in warm, humid conditions with bright, indirect light. Their leaves move throughout the day as they adjust to light levels.

For healthy growth, keep the soil evenly moist from spring to autumn, avoid direct sun and provide high humidity. They prefer filtered, distilled or rainwater, as they can be sensitive to minerals in tap water.
