Fittonia Mix in 6cm/7cm Pot

Fittonia, also called the nerve or mosaic plant, is prized for its striking, colourful veined leaves, available in green/white, pink, orange and bright lime/pink varieties. It grows as a compact, slow-spreading mound that works well solo or alongside other foliage. It rarely flowers indoors, as growers often pinch blooms to encourage leaf growth.

Native to tropical South America’s forest floor, Fittonia thrives in bright, filtered light and high humidity. Ideal spots include north-facing windows or humid rooms like bathrooms and kitchens. Avoid direct sun and drafts. Its slow growth makes it perfect for terrariums with ferns and moss.

Water Fittonia carefully with filtered or rainwater, letting soil dry nearly between waterings. The plant will droop slightly when thirsty. Maintain humidity by misting leaves regularly or placing the pot on a pebble tray, or group with other houseplants to create a humid microclimate.
