Gynura aurantiaca ‘Purple Passion’ 12cm Growers Pot

Gynura aurantiaca ‘Purple Passion’ is a striking, easy-care houseplant with deeply lobed green leaves covered in fine purple hairs that create a beautiful violet shimmer. New growth shows the most intense colour, which softens slightly as the leaves mature.

Native to tropical regions of Indonesia, this plant thrives in warm, humid conditions with bright indirect light. Keep the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid letting it dry out completely.

For best growth and vibrant foliage, place it in bright filtered light and protect it from direct sun, cold draughts and temperatures below 15C. It tolerates normal household humidity but appreciates higher humidity in dry environments. Grouping plants together can help increase humidity.
