Hedera helix Ivy Mix 13cm Pot, 20-30cm Trails

Hedera helix is an evergreen climbing plant that can reach 20–30m in height when suitable support is available (such as trees or walls). In the absence of vertical surfaces, it forms attractive ground cover.

From late summer to late autumn it produces small, greenish-yellow, nectar-rich flowers arranged in umbels (an important late-season food source for bees and other insects). Its purple-black to orange-yellow berries ripen in late winter and provide valuable nourishment for birds, though they are somewhat poisonous to humans.

When grown as a houseplant, water when the top 2–3cm of compost is dry, allowing excess water to drain away. Feed monthly during spring and summer. Tolerant of low-light conditions, but performs best in bright, indirect light.
