Hedera helix ‘Shamrock’ in 13cm Pot, 30cm Trails

Hedera helix ‘Shamrock’, commonly known as the clover-leaf ivy, is a versatile and evergreen ivy cultivar that boasts a charming foliage shape and robust growth habit. Its unique clover-like leaves make it a popular choice for gardeners looking to add texture and greenery to their outdoor spaces throughout the year.

The clover-leaf ivy is esteemed for its attractive, evergreen foliage and its ability to adapt to various garden roles. As a variety of Hedera, it can create a lush border, climb walls, or sprawl across slopes, offering a verdant tapestry that persists even in the coldest months. With its creeping, widespread growth, ‘Shamrock’ can reach a height of 2.5 meters, providing a vibrant green display throughout all seasons.

For optimal growth, plant ‘Shamrock’ ivy in well-drained soil and a location that receives full sun to partial shade. Regular watering will ensure its health, but be careful not to overwater, as it does not tolerate drought well. While ‘Shamrock’ ivy does not require frequent pruning, occasional trimming can be performed to maintain its size and shape.

It typically grows beneath trees, therefore if kept as a houseplant it makes an ideal plant for shady spot. Perfect for reading nooks, living room and bedrooms.
