Heuchera Mix in 12cm/14cm Pot

Heucheras are shade-tolerant plants native to the woodlands of North America. Grown mainly for their foliage, their leaves come in a huge range of colours, from deep red and purple to vivid green and even silver. They also produce attractive flowers in summer. Heucheras make excellent ground cover and work well in winter pot displays. Members of the saxifrage family, they are also known as coral bells or alumroot.

Most heucheras do best in dappled shade. Plant them in moist but well-drained soil, or in a loam-based compost if growing in pots. In summer, feed fortnightly with a liquid tomato feed and keep out of harsh, direct sun. Tidy old or tatty leaves in autumn to keep plants looking fresh.
