Hoya publicalyx ‘Black Dragon’ 10.5cm Pot

Hoya ‘Black Dragon’ is a rare and highly sought-after cultivar of the Hoya genus, admired for its unusually dark, glossy foliage and slow-growing, compact nature. It’s part of the Apocynaceae family, like other Hoyas, and is often grown for its ornamental leaves rather than its flowers, although, under the right conditions, it can bloom with delicate, fragrant star-shaped flowers.

Care tips:

• Bright, indirect light is best. Can tolerate some morning sun but avoid harsh afternoon rays.
• Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between waterings.During the active growing season, water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. In winter, reduce watering.
• Prefers warmth, ideally between 18-27C. Protect from drafts and cold temps below 12C.
• Thrives in higher humidity (50%-70%). While it can adapt to average home humidity, misting or a pebble tray can help.
