A very pretty traditional, free-flowering cottage garden favourite. Flowers in a range of unusual shades and bicolours, many with darker eyes in the centre. Blooms are delicate and cup-shaped.

Easy to grow and produces beautiful, rewarding displays. Can be sown where it is to flower. Perfect for the summer border and large containers. Flowers over a long season and usable as a gap filler in beds and borders.

Sow outdoors where they are to flower, 0.5cm (¼”) deep, directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Seedlings usually appear in 14–28 days. Thin seedlings to 10cm (4”) apart. Water well until plants are established. For a continuous display make sowings at two to three weekly intervals. Sowings made in curves rather than straight lines often create a more pleasing effect.
